Additional Information:Photo code #2: 74FD-27/33.
#650: 51-53 S. Main Street.

This two story Commercial Vernacular building is constructed of bricks that have been painted. It features an elaborate brick corbelled cornice including a row of cut out brickwork, a row of corbels suggesting brackets, and two rows of decorative corbels. In the northern portion of the building, the upper floor windows are casements with round arched panes decorated with round arched brick moldings. In the southern portion of the building the windows is a prominent row of corbels. The northern storefront has a mid-twentieth century appearance of small, curved show windows over carrera glass panels. The southern storefront has large windows surrounded by lustron panels. This storefront is connected with its neighbor, 51-53 S. Main Street, which appears to be a remodeling to the southern portion of this original building.

The northern storefront has some interest as an example of a twentieth century remodeling.

This buidig has housed numerous businesses during its existence including the drug stores of George Breed and Walter and William Breister.
