Additional Information:THIS TWO-STORY HOUSE FEATURES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE FOUNDATION, AN ASBESTOS SHINGLED EXTERIOR, A WOOD TRIM AND AN ASPHALT-SHINGLED, GABLE ROOF. ACCORDING TO THE INVENTORY CARD DESCRIBING THIS PROPERTY, THE FOUNDATION MATERIAL IS MADE OF RUSTICATED CONCRETE BLOCK. THE DWELLING RETAINS MANY OF ITS HISTORIC DETAILS, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING: WINDOW AND DOOR ARCHITRAVES; A TRANSOM (FANLIGHT) OVER THE FRONT DOOR; AND A MASSIVE FRONT PORCH WITH ITS FLAT ROOF SUPPORTED BY FLARED, TRUNCATED POSTS ON SHORT BASES. BUILT IN C. 1878 (SEE BIB. REF. A), THIS RESIDENCE IS PRESENTLY IN GOOD CONDITION. THE GARAGE IN THE REAR HAS BEEN CONVERTED INTO AN APARTMENT.

JAMES JAMES IS THE INDIVIDUAL ASSOCIATED WITH THIS RESIDENCE AND THE DATES OF HIS ASSOCIATION LASTED FROM 1880 TO 1890. (SEE BIB. REF. A). IN 1877, BEFORE THE HOUSE WAS BUILT, GEORGE HENRY OWNED THE PROPERTY.
