NOTES
Additional Information:THIS TWO-STORY CUBE WAS BUILT BY PETER KETTER IN C. 1900. (SEE BIB. REF. F). HE DESIGNED IT WITH A SQUARE SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION. THE ORIGINAL DWELLING WAS MOVED TO HIGH STREET, BETWEEN WHITFORD INSURANCE AND 340 HIGH STREET. PRIOR TO THE MOVE, IT WAS LOCATED ON THE JOHN SPENSLEY FARM. THIS MOVE MAY EXPLAIN THE REASON WHY THERE ARE TWO FOUNDATIONS. UNFORTUNATELY, THE INTENSIVE SURVEY DOES NOT GO INTO ANY FURTHER DETAIL ABOUT THIS PERPLEXITY. IN 1941, STEEL SIDING WAS PURCHASED AND ADDED TO THE HOUSE. A FRONT PORCH, WITH ITS ROOF SUPPORTED BY MASSIVE SQARE POSTS, SHELTERS THE FRONT ENTRANCE. LEADED GLASS APPEARS IN SOME OF THE DWELLING'S WINDOWS. A LARGE BAY WINDOW AT THE NORTH IS OBSCURED BY FOLIAGE. TWO CHIMNEYS ARE DISPLAYED ON THE DECK OF THE HIPPED ROOF. THIS RESIDENCE IS CONSIDERED TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION.
