Additional Information: | Previously surveyed in 1973 with no map name or map code. Built c. 1885, the first know residence of the residence where John and Elizabeth Hietpas in the mid-1930s. John owned and operated the J.C. Hietpas Dairy at the subject location until 1956. Brothers John and George Hieptas had formerly established the Hietpas Dairy in 1923 on their family's farm located just north of the Village of Little Chute. In the mid-1930s, the brothers formed their own diary operations; the J.C. Hietpas Dairy and George H. Hietpas Dairy. Different colored brick and a gable roof ghost line on the side (east) elevation suggest the residence formerly featured a wing on this facade. |
