NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This red brick, two story building features a corner entrance flanked by Doric columns and an arch with emphaszied voussoirs.

2001-
2-story Neoclassical evival bank buildingsits on a cut stone foundation and is sheathed with brick. The building's canted corner entry is dominated by a large stone archwith an ornamental keystone that is set on a pair of short Ionic columns. A modern door is set within the surround and is topped with a round arched, carved stone inset. Another significant feature of the building is the projecting denticulated corniceand carved wooden frieze. The cornice is topped with a brick parapet with stone coping; the canted corner exhibits a triangular stone inset witha sunburst design. Additional stone ornamentation accents all window openings. A molded beltcourse runs between the first and second levels.

A local history indicates that the building was built in 1906 as the Bank of Little Chute., the village's first banking institution.

The bank is a very good example of the Neoclassical Revival style of architecture and is therefore recommended for further study.
