Additional Information: | This two-story residence is composed of a large, hip-roofed main block, and a two-story, side-facing, gabled wing with canted corners. The gable end displays wood shingles. Scrolled brackets enliven the eaves on both sections, and asphalt shingles cover the roofs. A hip roofed porch with turned posts wraps around the main block. A closed pediment at the corner of the porch marks the entrance. The house retains original 1/1 windows with stone lintels and sills. A cottage window with a multipane leaded glass header that holds multiple colors of glass is found on the front elevation of the main block. The board railings (probably original) and screening (probably not original) that covered the porch at the time of the 1981 survey have been removed. A large addition is attached to the rear of the house. A fairly intact Queen Anne residence, this house features a skewed entry with pediment and shingled gable ends with crosspieces. 2008- previously surveyed in 1981. |
