Additional Information: | This two-story plain frame building was originally constructed as a church building and is typical of rural frame churches of the mid-1800's. While the church details have been removed (steeple, front entrance) the side window remains with their pedimented detailing. This building was the original structure built for the Galesville Presbyterian congregation, the first church established in Galesville. When the present church was erected in 1895, this building was moved to its current site, used as a livery, and then a garage and auto dealership. |
