NOTES
Additional Information:This 19th century structure, which once played an important role in the community, has been severely altered. In an 1892 referendum, the town voted 89-83 to build a town hall. $12,000 was appropriated. In 1894 $200 was appropriated to paint the building and buy chairs. The hall was used for all social, businesses, and amusement gatherings. In 1909 the decision was made to limit its use to town affairs only. The village hall in Blair was built in 1914, the town paying $200 for the village's interest in the town hall. The sum of $400 was voted to repair and improve the town hall. On May 15, 1950, the town voted to finance the construction of a new yall, but due to material shortages and a time delay in the removal of the old town hall, the building project was not begun until 1951. The old town hall was purchased by E.B. Gunderson and was moved to its present location to be used as a warehouse for egg crates. The town hall was built by E.K. Herried.
