Additional Information: | The church was heavily damaged by fire on 4/18/2002. A GOTHIC REVIVAL CHURCH, BASICALLY FRONT-GABLED, WITH TWO CORNER TOWERS OF DIFFERENT SIZES. EACH TOWER IS BUTTRESSED, AND HAS A VARIETY OF POINTED-ARCH WINDOWS, TRACERY, AND A LOFTY SPIRE. THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE NAVE HAS A POINTED ARCH OPENING, AND A LARGE, SIMILARLY-SHAPED WINDOW FLANKED BY LANCETS ABOVE. THE NEARBY BRICK SCHOOL IS NEOCLASSICAL, WITH A CENTRAL, PROJECTING ENTRANCE BAY AND STRINGCOURSES ALONG THE GROUND FLOOR. |
