| Additional Information: | THIS ONE AND A HALF-STORY HOUSE FEATURES AN IRREGULARLY-SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A CLAPBOARD EXTERIOR AND A COMBINATION MANSARD AND TRUNCATED HIP ROOF. NUMEROUS DORMERS IN VARIOUS DESIGNS APPEAR; MOST ARE CONSTRUCTED WITH LOW-PITCHED, HIPPED ROOFS. A WRAP-AROUND PORCH HAS ITS FLAT ROOF SUPPORTED BY SLENDER TUSCAN COLUMNS. PAIRED EAVE-LINE BRACKETS, PEAKED WINDOW MOLDINGS, CORNER BOARDS, FRIEZE BOARDS AND A FLAT-ROOFED BAY WINDOW ARE OTHER ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS PRESENT IN THE DESIGN. THIS DWELLING, BUILT IN 1883 AND IN 1884 (SEE BIB. REF. A), IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. IT DOES APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN ALTERED THROUGH THE YEARS, HOWEVER. |
