Additional Information: THIS TWO-STORY RESIDENCE IS DESIGNED WITH AN L-SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A CLAPBOARD EXTERIOR, A WOOD-SHINGLED TRIM AND AN IRREGULARLY-SHAPED ROOF. FUNDAMENTALLY A LATE AND SIMPLIFIED QUEEN ANNE, IT FEATURES PROMINENT GABLES, PEAKED WINDOW MOLDINGS, FLUTED IONIC COLUMNS ON THE ENTRANCE PORCH AND A HIP-ROOFED TOWER SITUATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF THE TWO GABLED WINGS. THE HOUSE, BUILT IN 1899 WITH ADDITIONS MADE SUBSEQUENTLY, IS CONSIDERED TO BE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. (SEE BIB. REF. A). HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: TAX RECORDS RESEARCH INDICATED THAT THIS HOME WAS ORIGINALLY OWNED BY MARY LEWIS, WHO IS THOUGH TO BE THE DAUGHTER OF WILLIAM B. LEWIS, A DODGEVILLE AREA FARMER. (SEE BIB. REF. B). (NOTE: THE PROPERTY IS LISTED UNDER THE NAME WILLIAM LEWIS BEGINNING IN 1883; IN 1892 THE WILLIAM LEWIS ESTATE IS RECORDED AS OWNER).
