Additional Information:Description: An L-shaped one story Vernacular 19th century buildinhg constructed of pilastered red brick, gable roof with cruciform brickwork cornice, granite foundation (not visible) with beveled stone watertable. Northside: Series of massive arched wood door with voussior and two square windows flanked by small segmental windows with voussior and stone lug sills all placed in corbelled recessed panels. Eastside: Tall segmental windows with voussior and lub sills placed in recessed corbelled panels separated by brick pilaster, central arched entrance with voussior concrete blocked to incorporate small rectangular door. Southside: Series of large semgnetal windows with voussior and lug sills (boarded). Background: The Paint Shop was the northern most building in the original shop yards in 1891. The final phase of the railroad car construction and repair, the team of "artists" engaged in the paint shop prepared coaches to the "as bright and beautiful as a 'bridge adorned for her husband'." The east end of the 80 by 102 feet structure was partitioned off and used as a tin shop.
