Additional Information:The Wilhelm Tell Hotel has been a New Glarus landmark since the late nineteenth century. This structure is a more recent one and has been extensively remodeled.

2015: THIS BUILDING WAS ORIGINALLY FRAME, IT WAS REBUILT AS A BRICK BUILDING AROUND THE TURN OF THE 20TH CENTURY AND THEN WAS GIVEN ITS SWISS FACADE IN 1964. KIM D. TSCHUDY, NEW GLARUS (CHARLESTON: ARCADIA PUBLISHING, 2014) 105, 106.
