Additional Information: | This two story residence has aluminum siding exterior fabric and Colonial Revival details. The foundation is rock faced. The gable roof has a box cornice and returns. There is a front pedimented wall gable dormer. Full front porch has a hip roof and exposed rafters. There is a side bay window and rear additions. Alterations lessen the integrity of this house. Better Colonial Revival detailed homes are around. This one has no architectural significance. An early photo shows this building with the same basic shape and an open porch. There is a belt line of wood between the 1st and 2nd stories, painted lighter than the rest of the house. Endboards are painted the same. The south 1st story window (near the front) is smaller than it is now. The rear addition was smaller. It has simple detailing. |
