Additional Information: | A LARGE, TWO-STORY, MULTI-GABLE FARMHOUSE WHICH IS H-SHAPED IN PLAN. THE ARMS OF THE H ARE GABLED BAYS; A PORCH WITH LACEY BRACKETS STRETCHS BETWEEN THE TWO. ANOTHER SIMILAR PORCH IS SITUATED AT THE END OF THE BUILDING. ALL THE WINDOWS FEATURE SURROUNDS. Resurveyed June 2018. This 2-story Vernacular house was constructed c.1880. It is L-shaped in plan with vinyl siding and an asphalt-shingled gable roof. The front elevation faces south and is symmetrical in plan, with the exception of an off-center front door. The façade consists of front-gabled building masses at each end with a side-gabled mass between. A 1-story shed-roofed front porch spans the width of the side-gabled mass. The porch features turned wood supports with decorative brackets at each upper corner. Windows throughout are 6-over-6 and appear to be modern replacements. |
