Additional Information: | A TWO-STORY HOUSE WITH A TWO-TIER TEMPLE FRONT CAPPED BY A PEDIMENT. THE PORCH AND BALCONY OF THIS FRONT ARE BOTH BALLUSTRADED. FLANKING THE MAIN BODY OF THE HOUSE ARE TWO WINGS. Resurveyed June 2018 - greatly diminished integrity (see below). This 2-story Greek Revival house was constructed c.1860. It is rectangular in plan with vinyl siding and a metal-clad gable roof. The front elevation faces east and is symmetrical in plan with 1-story, hipped-roof wings projecting from each side. The main building mass features a full-height portico supported by squared columns and sheltering a central front door flanked by replacement 1-over-1 windows. The portico rests on a new concrete slab with concrete steps. The building has lost a great deal of integrity due to the application of vinyl siding, the installation of a new metal roof, new concrete porch floor/steps, new windows, and the loss of the historic bi-level front porch. |
