NOTES
Additional Information:F IN THE PHOTO CODES IS SHORT FOR FCS. DESCRIPTION: THREE STOREFRONTS ARE CONTAINED WITHIN THIS TWO-STORY, BRICK STRUCTURE. THE UPPER FIVE WINDOWS ON THE MAIN FACADE ARE EVENLY SPACED AND RECTANGULAR IN SHAPE WITHIN SEGMENTAL ARCHED OPENINGS. IN ADDITION TO BRICK BELT COURSES, THERE IS A STONE BELT COURSE BETWEEN THE FIRST TWO OF THE THREE FIRST-STORY ENTRANCES. EACH OF THE STOREFRONTS DISPLAY LARGE WINDOWS. THE BUILDING APPEARS TO HAVE A CONCRETE FOUNDATION. ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SIGNIFICANCE: DECORATIVE BRICKWORK ON THE UPPER FACADE IS AN ARCHITECTURAL HIGHLIGHT OF THIS ITALIANATE COMMERCIAL BUILDING. THE BRICKWORK IS IN THE FORM OF CORNICE PATTERNS, PILASTERS, BELT COURSES, HOODED WINDOW CROWNS, AND A PATTERNED-MASONRY PARAPET. DESPITE SOME ALTERATION OF FIRST-FLOOR FACADES, THE HISTORIC ARCHITECTURAL FEATURES OF THE NEARLY 100-YEAR-OLD BUILDING ARE FAIRLY WILL INTACT. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND: THE CORNERSTONE OF THIS BUILDING SAYS IT WAS BUILT IN 1894 AND USED FOR ODD FELLOWS LODGE NO. 125. (A) HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE: THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ODD FELLOWS IN THE HISTORY OF OMRO NEEDS RESEARCH.
