Additional Information: THIS TWO-STORY COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE HAS A BRICK EXTERIOR. CUT BRICK AND PLAIN CONCRETE TRIM FORM A PATTERNED CORNICE. LOZENGES DECORATE A VERTICAL AREA NEAR THE CORNICE. BRICK LINTELS ADORN THE WINDOWS ON THE SECOND STORY. THE STREET LEVEL STOREFRONT HAS BEEN ALTERED FOR COMTEMPORARY USE. THE FACADE WAS REMODELED IN THE 20TH CENTURY. (THE D.O.E. IS 5/15/86). THIS BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1874. ACCORDING TO THE INTENSIVE SURVEY REPORT, A REAR ADDITION WAS BUILT BETWEEN 1900 AND 1908. (SEE BIB. REF. A). HOWEVER ACCORDING TO THE INVENTORY CARD FOR THIS STRUCTURE, THE REAR ADDITION WAS BUILT IN THE 1890'S. IT ALSO INDICATES 1925 AS A SIGNIFICANT YEAR REGARDING THE FACADE, BUT IT DOES NOT ADDRESS WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE.
