Additional Information:This three story Italianate styled industrial building features rectangular shaped plan configuration, a stone foundation, a cream brick and cararra glassed exterior, a wood and stone trim, and a ceramic tiled flat roof. The building, which is in good condition, was owned in 1982 by William J. Allan of P.O. Box 732, in Janesville. For architectural and historical statements, see the NRHP Nomination Form. The historically named Hodge and Bucholz Carriage Works is architecturally significant in that it represents a type, period, or method of construction. It is historically significant in that it is associated with the development of a locality.
