Additional Information: THIS BRICK TWO-STORY HOUSE HAS A SQUARE PLAN CONFIGURATION AND AN ELEVATED BASEMENT. THE TRUNCATED HIP ROOF IS PENETRATED BY A PEDIMENTED DORMER. LEADED GLASS (SIMILAR TO THAT OF 200 DIVISION STREET) AND FLAT WINDOW LINTES ADD TO THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE HOUSE. THE FULL LENGTH FRONT PORCH HAS FILLED IN RAILINGS AND IS SUPPORTED BY TUSCAN COLUMNS.

ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE:

ONE OF FIVE HOUSES REPRESENTING THE FOURSQUARE DESIGN IN PLATTEVILLE, THIS DWELLING IS SIMILAR TO GT 28-30, GT 28-11, GT 30-17 AND GT 27-12. THIS HOUSE WS BUILT IN 1904-1905 FOR C.C. GRINDELL.
