NOTES
Additional Information: THIS TWO STORY, BUILT OF LOCAL BRICK (NOW PAINTED), WITH HIP ROOF INTERSECTED BY GABLED EXTENSIONS AND A CORNICED ROOFED THREE BAYED TOWER. A BALUSTRATED FRONT PORCH SUPPORTED BY SHORT CLASSICAL INSPIRED POST ON MASONRY BASES, A SIDE PORCH SIMILARLY SUPPORTED, SEGMENTED ARCHES OVER RECTANGULAR WINDOWS, A DECORATIVE STRING OF BRICKS AT THE CENTER OF THE FACADE AND DECORATEIVE BRICK WORK IN THE GABLES CHARACTERIZE THIS TURN OF THE CENTURY HOUSE. THE BRICKS CAME FROM THE LOCAL KIVLAHAN BRICKYARD. (A) ALTHOUGH IMPORTANT AS A VISUAL LANDMARK AND A REPRESENTATIVE OF LATE VICTORIAN ARCHITECTURE, THE ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE OF THID HOUSE HAS BEEN SERIOUSLY LESSENED BY THE ALTERATION OF BRICK SURFACE.
