Additional Information: | ARCHITECTURAL STATEMENT: TWO-STORY L-SHAPED BUILDING. AN EXAMPLE OF AN EARLY RESIDENCE ORIGINALLY A GREEK REVIVAL BUILDING WITH SOME ITALIANATE ELEMENTS (BAY WINDOW). THE BAY WINDOW AND ENTRANCE ENTABLATURE ARE VESTIGES OF THE EARLY PERIOD. THE BUILDING HAS BEEN GREATLY MODIFIED, WITH A TWO STORY WING ADDED TO THE WEST. HISTORICAL STATEMENT: THIS BUILDING APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN THE CONGREGATIONAL PARSONAGE WHICH WAS MOVED FROM A SITE NEAR THE PRESENT CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH ON PARK STREET (A). |
