Additional Information: | The Franklin Grade School is significant under Criterion C as a good example of Art Deco public architecture in Merrill. Franklin Grade School, located at 114-120 N. Genesee Street on Merrill's west side, between 1925 and 1930, is a two and one-half story brick and concrete structure designed in the Art Deco style. This building functions yet today (1992) as an elementary school serving Merrill's West Side. |
