NOTES
Additional Information:1982: Fine example of one story house with itnersecting gables, original windows, stained glass, shingle siding and a circular wraparound veranda. considered for nomination in preliminary survey days.

2010: Since surveyed in 1982 (and later in 2000 for the City), the house has undergone the application of vinyl siding (wooden shingles previously covered it); removal of the porch balustrade; as well as fenestration alterations (sizing changes and removal of leaded glass). Based on the alterations, the house no longer meets survey standards.

Based on Sanborn maps, the house was built between 1901 and 1909 and the home's original owners are believed to be George & Charlotte Reynolds. Charlotte was the daughter of Benjamin Green Armstrong, who became well-known for his role as an Indian interpreter in Northern Wisconsin and wrote Early Life Among the Indians (1892). Armstrong lived one house south of this house (at 110 11th Avenue East) however, that house is no longer extant. George Reynolds was a railroad engineer. Although they resided in Michigan in 1910 (per the census), the Reynolds' were living in Ashland in 1911.

2017: No immediately apparent exterior alterations; front window may only be a multi-light storm and not a full replacement.
