NOTES
Additional Information:DESIGNED IN THE COLLEGIATE GOTHIC STYLE BY ARCHITECT EDWARD TOUGH AND BUILT BETWEEN 1924 AND 1925, THIS TWO-STORY SCHOOL STRUCTURE IS PROPORTIONALLY LARGE. (SEE BIB. REF. E, 1). IT FEATURTES A RECTANGULAR SHAPED PLAN CONFIGURATION, A STONE AND CONCRETE FOUNDATION, A BRICK EXTERIOR, A STONE TRIM, AND AN ASPHALT SHINGLED FLAT ROOF. AN ELABORATE PARAPET DISPLAYS CONCRETE COPING. THE MAIN ENTRANCES ARE PLACED WITHIN SEGMETALLY ARCHED OPENINGS. THE BASEMENT IS RAISED UP, GIVING THE BUILDING A MORE SUBSTATIAL PRESENCE. A 1959 ADDITION WHICH WAS MADE TO THE SCHOOL HAS NOT BEEN A DETRIMENT TO THE STRUCTURE'S OVERALL GOOD CONDITION. (SEE BIB. REF. E).

THE MINERAL POINT HIGH SCHOOL HAS SERVED THE COMMUNITY AS A PLACE OF EDUCATION FROM THE DATE OF ITS COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION IN 1925 TO THE PRESENT DAY. (SEE BIB. REF. E, F).
