NOTES
Additional Information:A 'site file' exists for this property. It contains additional information such as correspondence, newspaper clippings, or historical information. It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. TO BE DEMOLISHED. Located north of the Eau Claire River in the city's business district, the former Oleson's Livery is a two story brick and stone structure characterized on the second floor by six windows which are divided into pairs by pilasters which rise to the roofline. The two center pilasters frame an abbreviated parapet. On the ground floor a central garage opening is flanked by windows and entrances to the upper floor. A frame building designated as George Oleson's Livery is shown on the 1883 Sanborn map. By 1897 a brick structure had been added at the rear. In 1901 the present building was completed and was used as Oleson's Livery until 1931 when Drive Yourself Auto Livery was listed at this location.
