Additional Information: | A two story brick veneered structure which is part of the building to the east. (This neighboring building contains three stories. It was not included in the survey but continues the upper floor rhythm of bays which unifies the north side of this block of Eau Claire.) The building is distinguished by a simple brickwork pattern at the cornice line (the pattern is continued on the building at 422 Water Street, 1L/7) and by three segmental arch bays with elaborate window caps. On the first floor the original storefront area has been totally altered. This building served as a saloon, candy store, and restaurant. In 1908 John Wiseman's confectionary was located in the building. |
