Additional Information:A two story clapboard sided residence distinguished by twin shingled gables at the roofline and a veranda supported by turned posts and ornamented by machine sawn brackets. Latticework trellises enclosed both ends of the veranda. A two story addition is on the west.

CITY DIRECTORIES AND TAX RECORDS SHOW THAT THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1884. RANOUS WAS A CARPENTER IN 1885 AND A COOK IN 1887-1888.
