NOTES
Additional Information:A Queen Anne/Colonial Revival residence constructed near the turn of the century. Twin gables at the roofline and a wrap veranda are prominent features of the two story clapboard dwelling. The gables have return eaves and are ornamented by egg and dart molding. The veranda is supported by Doric columns and accented by dentils and a spindle balustrade. Charles Bundy (1862-1949), the original owner of this residence, was born in nearby Menomonie where following his graduation from high school, he worked as a railroad surveyor and as foreman for the Knapp-Stout Lumber Company. He also studied the law profession and entered the field in West Superior in partnership with C.R. Fridley. In 1897 he relocated in Eau Claire and joined with T.F. Frawley and Roy P. Wilcox to form the firm of Frawley, Bundy and Wilcox. Following Mr. Frawley's death in 1902, the partnership became Bundy and Wilcox. Bundy, who died in 1949, was also involved with the Chippewa Valley Railway, Light and Power Company.
