Additional Information:A simple clapboard residence which in contrast to the majority of homes in Eau Claire has its broad end (rather than its gable end) facing the street. A veranda reaches across the main facade and a pediment indicates the entrance.

CITY ASSESSOR'S ROLLS SHOW THAT THIS HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1871 AND CITY TAX ROLLS SHOW THAT THIS HOUSE WAS EXTANT BY 1876, AT WHICH TIME IT WAS OWNED BY ANDREW J. MARTIN.
