Additional Information: | Not present on 1883 Sanborn-Perris Map; present on 1885 map. A two story frame commercial building which is sided with asphalt shingles, a common treatment for the business structures in this small commercial district. The building does retain its bracketed cornice and on the first floor the original storefront areas are largely intact. In 1885 a hardware store and a meat market occupied the building, while four years later a saloon and a barbershop were the occupants. In 1897 only "stores" are listed. The 1908 city directory recorded Fred Beauregard - hotel and confectionary - at the address which at that time was 502-504 Bellinger Street (B,C). |
