Additional Information: | This portion of the Linton Block (see 413 S. Barstow St., 20/13 for other half) is distinguished by three bays (once again the openings have been reduced in size) and stone string course and sills. The corbel table that once marked the entire building has been removed from this part of the structure. The lower storefront has been significantly altered. The 1897 Sanborn map noted only "stores" at this address (B). In 1908 the Red Front Flour and Feed Co. and a grocery operated by George Linton (no doubt the owner of the Linton Block) occupied the building (C). 913 and 915 part of the Linton Block (see AHI 40913) 2019: Storefront has been remodeled |
