NOTES
Additional Information:A two story brick commercial structure characterized by a simple brickwork pattern and three segmental arch openings accented by radiating voussoirs. Since this photo was taken, the inset area containing the bays has been covered with wood siding. The lower storefront area has been substantially modified through the addition of metal and wood siding. Between 1889 and 1897 this building was extended to Graham Avenue (formerly RIver Street). See 311 Graham Avenue, 1P/7.

A variety of business establishments have been housed in this building. In 1883 a dry goods and notions store occupied the first floor while a billiard hall was on the second. In 1887 a book and stationary business was on first and a printing company on second. In 1897 when the Graham Avenue is shown extending to Graham Avenue, a printing and binding company occupied the second floor (A). The 1908 city directory listed a dry goods shop operated by Robert Jacobs and a bowling alley at this address (C).

1997-Storefront has been altered. Second story windows are modern.
