NOTES
Additional Information:A two story brick commercial building faced with stone (the stone is not noted until 1931, thus it appears to be a twentieth century addition). Distinguishing features include a metal entablature which is interrupted in the center by pilasters that frame a lower level entrance to the second story and the window above. There are four bays on either side of this center area. These rectangular openings are accented by diamond paneled overlights. A line of egg and dart molding is also featured. The lower storefronts have been significantly altered.

Saloons, a dancing hall, and lodge room were located in this building in 1883. In 1889 the saloons were still featured but a printing establishment was located in the basement and the composing room and office on the second floor. The 1908 directory recorded the Louis Running Company Clothing Store at 206 S. Barstow. Everett L. Mason, physician, and the Phoenix Mutual Life Insurance Office were on the second floor. At 208 S. Barstow Otto Boberg, druggist, was on the first floor and Fred Blackwell, bookbinder, on second (B,C).
