NOTES
Additional Information:TO BE DEMOLISHED. A two story brick commercial structure located on the southwest corner of N. Barstow and Wisconsin Streets. Since the 1978 reconnaisance survey conducted by the State Histrocial Society, the building's facade has been totally altered. Stucco and stone now cover the original brick which can still be seen on the north elevation. A photo of the original structure is available on the assessor's card at the city assessor's office.

Although not the original occupant, the Eau Claire Savings Bank did move into the structure only five years after its construction. The Eau Claire Savings Bank was organized in 1906 by the stockholders of the Eau Claire National Bank and had the following officers: W.K. Coffin, president; C.W. Lockwood, vice-president; F.S. Bouchard, cashier. "The bank occupied temporary quarters on North Barstow Street for a couple of years and then purchased and remodeled the building at the corner of North Barstow and Wisconsin Streets..." (C).

The 1933 City Directory lists the bank as "in liquidation" - a victim of the depression (D).
