Additional Information: | The cemetery is laid out along both sides of eleven north-south roads along the top of a 10w rise. Thus it has a linear appearance. Oaks and conifers are scattered across the cemetery. Graves are placed as single burials and family plts. Family plots are not surrounded by fences. The earliest noted graves date to 1874, and the cemetery continues in use. A chain link fence with ashlar granite pillars occur along the road side of the cemetery. Two square pillars on either side of the entrance note: "Oak Grove Cemetery." They were donated by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Menthey in 1980. Related buildings: one asphalt gable roof frame shed with drop siding and concrete footings and one asphalt gable roof frame garage with vinyl siding and concrete footings. |
