| Additional Information: | This structure contributes to the significance of the East College Avenue Residential Historic District under Criterion C as a good example of a shingle-style cottage exhibiting a common design type, the one and a half story cottage with a dormered front roof porch, blown-up to a large scale to give a cozy look to what is actually a sizable two-story house. The house retains its essential characteristics in spite of the enclosure of portion of the front porch to make a room and the replacement of the original columns with wrought-iron uprights. Garage also on property. |
