Additional Information: | This structure contributes to the significance of the Appleton City Park Historic District under Criterion C as a typical example of a Collegiate Gothic style parochial school built to complement the architecture of the church it adjoins. The fine random ashlar and limestone trimmed structure is abutted by a non-contributing, modern, three-story addition probably constructed in the 1960's. Janitor says school building was never actually an elementary school but used only for Sunday school. Related buildings: OU 38/31; 73/5. |
