NOTES
Additional Information:This is a one and one half story, cross-gable-roofed frame Queen Anne cottage remodelled in the Colonial Revival style. This small house has retained its Queen Anne massing and shingled gables but has had its porch removed or enclosed, six-over-six sash and colonialesque door installed and a Federal style polygonal bay window added to the rear of the side elevation to give the cottage a more fashionable colonial look in the 1920s and 1930s.

This structure contributes to the significance of the Appleton City Park Historic District under Criterion C as an interesting example of a Queen Anne cottage remodelled in the Colonial style in the 1920's or 1930's. This structure illustrates the continued development of the City Park neighborhood as a fashionable residential area into the 1930's when fashion conscious home owners sought to bring their outdated Victorian residences up to date.
