Additional Information: | Additional map codes are: 5/10 BB/3. Additional photo codes are: FRV;BB/3 The Appleton Press building was constructed between 1921 and 1925. The business specialized in magazine and commercial printing. In 1940 the building was used as the Appleton Building and Loan Assn. In 1945 it became a residence. It was vacant in 1947. In 1949 it became tthe offices for the M.E. Rehbein Food Distributing Co. The Appleton Labor Temple located at this site in 1951. They remained there until 1971 when Wisconsin Fox Valley Sheet Metal moved in. In 1975 the structure was used by the Appleton Eagles Club. Currently (08/1981) it is vacant. The building is constructed of rock-faced coursed ashlar. It has a rectangular floor plan, flat roof, and is two-stories high. The structure measures 36' x 66'. |
