| Additional Information: | A two-story, flat-roofed, tapestry brick early twentieth century commercial style structure with a modern plateglass storefront and a mostly intact upper facade. The second story is fenestrated with two banks of four grouped windows enframed with a flash soldier course of bricks. All of the original sash have been replaced by modern aluminum units that do not repeat the galzing configuration of the original windows. The plain parapet is ornamented with cast stone tiles. This structure contributes to the architectural significance of the College Avenue Historic District under Criterion C as a representative example of the clean, functional early twentieth century commercial style architecture of the World War I era. Although the storefront and upper story window units are modern, the basic integrity of this mdoestly designed facade has remained intact. |
