NOTES
Additional Information:Additional map codes are: 8/32. This is a three-story, flat-roofed, brick, Queen Anne style commercial building with two unsympathetically modernized storefronts. The two upper stories are divided into two identical halves by a central brick pier. Each half features four one over one windows evenly spaced across the facade flanking a central recessed brick panel. The continuous thin stone sills and the wide rock faced lintels from belt courses across the facade. The third story windows have paneled brick spandrels. The parapet is ornamented with a frieze of recessed panels in the brickwork and has a rockfaced coping that ramps up at the central and sidewall piers to form pedestals for the tapering monolithic stone finial. This structure contributes to the significance of the College Avenue Historic District as a representative example of a plainn late Queen Anne commercial structure that displays on its upper stories the characteristic patterning, polychromy, surface texturing and ornamental parapet silhouette of the waning Queen Anne style of the mid to late 1890's. The building retains a high degree of integrity of the storefront in the 1950's. 2024: Resurveyed. Not contributing to College Avenue Historic District
