NOTES
Additional Information:A two-story, flat-roofed, tapestry brick early twentieth century commercial style retail building with its original, wood and plateglass storefront intact. The upper story is fenestrated with a central bank of three grouped 6 over 1 sash flanked by narrow pained groupings of 1 over 1 wood sash. The most outstanding feature of this building is the unusual checkerboard patterned brickwork that covers most of the facade. This structure contributes to the significance of the College Avenue Historic District under criterion C as a representative example of an early twnetieth century commercial style building. The building has been maintained in virtually original condition. It excellently illustrates the geometric brick patterning that is a hallmark of this style in its highly original checkerboard brick facade. 2024: Resurveyed, not contributing to College Avenue Historic District.
