NOTES
Additional Information:Additional map codes are: 9/31. This structure contributes to the significance of the East College Avenue residential Historic District under Criterion C as a fine example of a large stick style house displaying the distinctive flared eaves and gable timbering identified with the style. The house was extensively remodelled to bring it up to date with craftsman style window sash, a sun porch and a new front porch illustrating the trend about the time of World War I to update older houses in order to reflect the newest architectural trends in this fashionable neighborhood.

2005-this house was last surveyed in 1991 and no visible exterior changes have occurred since that time.

Assessor's records note an 1884 date of construction; indeed, Sanborn maps depict the house in 1886. According to a 1977 survey card, the historic name ascribed to the home was Lunt. According to city directories, R.M. Lunt, a land examiner for the Wisconsin Central Railroad, was in residence by not later than 1887-88; however, Lunt is not listed in the 1884-85 directory.
