Additional Information: | 2021 - This Damkeeper's cottage is historically and currently associated with the operation of Appleton’s Middle Dam are located south of the dam structure, at the western end of the North Island. It is located immediately west of S. Olde Oneida Street. This front-gabled house faces east, with a concrete slab foundation, vinyl siding, and an asphalt shingled roof. An entrance, sheltered by a hipped-roof awning, is located near the northeast corner of the building, with a bay of two vinyl casement windows to the south in a plain surround. The house is surrounded on all sides by the concrete pavement that caps this brief outcropping south of the adjacent dam. Metal railings ring the edge of the pavement. Windows throughout appear to be vinyl replacements for the original multi-paned double hung windows. |
