NOTES
Additional Information:Original building (409) built as a hotel and had an L plan. Building was built of brick and had multi-gable roofs with the main facade facing onto South Washington Street having a brick boomtown facade. Originally, all windows and doors in this building featured segmental arched openings with identical corbelled brick hood molds above. Most of these openings survive intact except for the first floor of the front facade which has been totally altered quite recently. The later two-story tall retail building next door known as 411 S. Washington St. features paneled full height corner pilasters and a corbelled brick parapet. The side windows of this building (which is incorporated into 409) are also segmental arched so that this building may either be original or else a very early addition to 409, and may have had a later facade added. Recently, the first floor of 411 was also totally altered and a new pent roof was placed across the facades of both 409 and 411. The hotel catered to business travelers using the depot across the street. 411 S. Washington was destroyed by fire and was replaced by a parking lot. Green Bay Intensive Survey Phases 2, 3 & 4
