It is a public record and may be viewed in person at the Wisconsin Historical Society, State Historic Preservation Office. This 2 story Italianate house was constructed in 1855. It is rectangular in plan with a sandstone foundation and walls and an asphalt shingled low pitched gable roof. The front elevation faces southeast and is asymmetrical in plan with a three-sided projecting 2-story bay at the southern end of the facade and a flat roofed entry porch with turned wood supports at the northern end. The porch is accessed by a flight of wooden steps and is parially enclosed by a clapboard wall inset with a decorative leaded window. Other windows throughout the house are tall, narrow 1-over-1 double hung windows and are located in pairs everywhere except in the front bay. Decorative paired brackets are located at regular intervals below the roofline.

According to the 1860 federal census, Benjamin was born in New York in 1819 and Martha was 32 years old. She was also born in New York. Perry was a hardware merchant. A gentleman named L. Sawyer, age 23, boarded with them. He was a tinner. Map code is 070914406264.
