Additional Information: | ROUND ARCHED ENTRY, ORNAMENTAL BRICK WORK IN CORNICE, GABLE SHAPED PARAPET. ORIGINALLY WAS A 28 ROOM HOTEL WITH A RESTAURANT ON THE FIRST FLOOR. "This red brick, 28 room hotel, built in the same year as the City Hall, stands out in the streetscape because of its color, style and size. It was considered rather grand and had a fine restaurant on the first floor where white table cloths were the order of the day. These downtown hotels and rooming houses were an important part of the city, providing the only place where travelers could stay, as well as 'dining out' facilities for the locals."
