Constructed in the Mediterranean Eclectic Revival style popular in the 1920s, this is a two-story flat roofed apartment house with red barrel tile coping and porch roof, curvilinear pediment outline with half-circle window in the center and round pediment above the roof lines on both end bays, brown linear trim on side elevations, bracketed eaves, and two-story central front enclosed porch with red barrel tile roof. Similar to and same style as adjacent apartment house at 513-515 Cass St.

2017 UPDATE - BUILDING APPEARS SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME SINCE IT WAS LAST SURVEYED IN 2012

Similar to the adjacent Doerflinger Apartment House constructed in the late 1920s, the Doerflinger Apartments II built c. 1931 is important to LaCrosse's architectural history forming a link between the early and the modern apartment structure. Built on the site of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, the original Doerflinger Apartments consisted of two buildings - one at 503-505 Main and the second at 513-515 Main.
