NOTES
Additional Information:One-story brick industrial building with elevations broken by brick piers or butresses with multi-paned window walls between white belt courses and trim. Historically important because it is the earliest known extant building associated with the Trane Company, this structure has maintained good architectural integrity. Trane became one of the major employers of the city. In 1919, James Trane and Son patented a new heating system. This factory was built for that purpose. The original factory building was constructed of steel, concrete and brick by Peter Nelson and Son. The addition in 1936 was constructed by Theo Molzahn and Sons and the 1936 addition was constructed by Ben Nelson.
